The huge window in the solid block focuses attention on one of the most majestic view of the site. The silhouette of the window and form of the inner space is formed by average outline of typical dwelling of Rwanda. The cross is situated out of the building. It is the final point of the rout through two main spaces of the church. The first one is opened and transparent. It is surrounded by exposed columns. The second space is the direct opposite, closed and massive. It accommodates altar nave, presbytery. The site is situated on the border between the city and the large green area of Wilhelm von Nottbeck Park. Also, it is divided into two different parts by Finlaysoninkatu street with historically significant views and landscape. Moreover, the new museum has to become a part of existing buildings ensemble with diverse typology, architecture style and year of construction. The integration of urban infrastructure in museum volume is a feature of the program, which complicates pedestrian and vehicle traffic on the site.
